Proctoring Information

• Webcam and/or screen video recordings (uploaded as short chunks) when an exam organizer enables AI or manual proctoring

Proctoring Recordings and Storage

When proctoring is enabled for an exam, we collect webcam and/or screen video in short chunks solely for exam integrity, AI-assisted flagging, and short-term review by the exam organizer. We do not use these recordings for advertising or sell them to third parties.

Proctoring video chunks are stored in Cloudflare R2, an object storage service. Per Cloudflare's R2 data security practices, objects are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and transferred over TLS/SSL in transit. Access is limited to providing the proctoring feature and related support.

We retain proctoring recordings for 5 days. After that period, video objects are automatically deleted using Cloudflare R2 object lifecycle rules. Deletion is permanent once completed; we do not keep separate long-term archives of these recordings unless required by law or a valid legal request.

Exam organizers who enable proctoring are responsible for informing candidates that recording may occur and for using the recordings only for legitimate assessment purposes.
